Teachers and administrators are essential players in improving student knowledge of and appreciation for the world beyond our borders and the people who live in it. But they are not the only ones: parents, extended family, neighbors and other people in the local area have equally important roles to play in preparing students to survive and thrive in a global economy and become responsible members of the international community.
